MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

Crews were called out to reports of a vehicle fire on Interstate 40 in Midwest City, Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the reported semi on fire on EB I-40 near Air Depot Blvd. When they arrived they saw the semi had experienced some sort of breakdown, but was not on fire.

Traffic on eastbound I-40 was disrupted for a short time. Two lanes are now open and is expected to be running smoothly soon.

It is unclear what malfunctioned on the semi. No injuries have been reported and no other vehicles were involved.
