A driver was arrested on DUI complaints after crashing into an officer’s vehicle head-on in Norman, Oklahoma.
According to police, the crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at Classen and Inhoff. The officer was going northbound on Classen, approaching that intersection when another driver going southbound on Classen tried to turn left onto Inhoff.
The officer tried to stop, but the two vehicles collided head-on. Police said the other driver involved, later identified as 23-year-old Charles Gaskill, did not have the right of way and he showed numerous signs of intoxication at the time of the collision.
The officer was not injured and is back to work. But the police vehicle is totaled.
Gaskill has been booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on DUI complaints.
