The Oklahoma Department of Transportation released the latest update in road conditions across the state.

ODOT crews report several areas of slick and hazardous roadways in northwest Oklahoma but that highways are quickly thawing out Wednesday. Salt and sand operations will continue until highways are dry.

Impacted areas include Beaver, Harper, Ellis, Woodward, Woods and Major counties with a mixture of snow and sleet accumulated on highways. Major routes into the state via the Panhandle are clear at this time, but US-412 and US-64 in Beaver County have slick spots reported. If motorists must travel, plan for extra time in order to arrive safely at your destination. Please stay 200 feet behind snow plow equipment for safety.

Crews continue to monitor conditions elsewhere in Oklahoma and will be ready to clear any new snow and ice that may head into the state.
