Former Teacher At Del City Church Arrested In Child Molestation Case

A former teacher at a Del City church has been arrested on multiple complaints in connection to a child molestation case.

Jody Suit, Public Information Officer with Del City police, held a news conference Friday morning and announced they arrested 45-year-old Donnie Ray Shultz at his home in the 4300 block of Spiva Drive, at about 8 a.m. Friday.

Shultz has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of second-degree rape, forcible oral sodomy, lewd acts with a child, possession of child porn, manufacturing child porn, and violation of Computer Crimes Act.

According to Suit, Shultz was a teacher at Calvary Christian Center, located at 3900 Epperly Drive in Del City. Police believe that’s where Shultz met the underage victim. Police said Shultz began molesting the victim about two years ago, when she was only 14 years old. He would reportedly take the victim with him when he did handyman work at various locations in the Oklahoma City metro, where he would then molest the victim.

Suit said they served a search warrant at Shultz’s home in Del City and found evidence on his computer that validates what officers have been told.

Police believe there is another underage victim who they are still trying to identify. 

This is not the first time Shultz was arrested on sex crimes. Suit said Shultz was previously a sex offender registered from 1995 to 2013. He hasn't been registered for the last two years because he wasn't required to. He had been charged with statutory rape before.
