Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery At NW OKC Check Cashing Business

Police are on the lookout for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a check cashing store business on the northwest side of the metro, Friday afternoon.

Officers were called out to the Cashland business located in the 1400 block of W. Britton Rd. just before 4 p.m. The crime was originally reported as having a shooting victim, but police now tell News 9 that the suspect fired one shot an employee and missed. No one was injured.

Police are looking for one suspect in the shooting, described as a black male wearing all-black clothing, who fled the scene on foot. The Oklahoma City Police helicopter, AirOne, is also up looking for the suspect.
