It all started after police got the call from a woman reporting to have heard shots fired. NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A false report of shots fired led to a misunderstanding that brought about another tense situation in a Norman neighborhood.

Norman Police now tell News 9 that no standoff occurred and no arrests were made.  

It all started after police got the call from a woman reporting to have heard shots fired. When officers responded they saw 33-year-old Richard Watson, the man involved in last week’s standoff, walking down the street.

The officers took extra precaution based on last week’s incident, but stress that no standoff occurred and Watson was not arrested.
