Pizza Delivery Drivers Robbed At Gunpoint Inside NW OKC Apartment Complex

Some brazen pizza bandits are holding up delivery drivers at gunpoint, and at least three pizza companies have decided to stop delivering food to a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.

The criminals have used the same routine and address to get paid, Oklahoma City police said.

Delivery drivers have been given a unit address at The Highlands apartment complex at 12601 N Pennsylvania Ave.

One driver told News 9 he knocked on a the door to one unit and nobody answered. Moments later, the driver said, a man approached and claimed he accidentally provided the wrong unit number.

The driver was lead to another more secluded area of the apartments where a suspect showed him a gun and demanded money.

“They kind of didn’t need to say much at that point. I was like here you do whatever you want,” the driver said.

Another driver told News 9, a gun was fired near is his feet after he first hesitated to hand over the his money.

In the past week, drivers for Domino's, Papa John's and Marco's has become victims at The Highlands apartment complex.

Those businesses say they've stopped delivering pizza to the apartments.

Oklahoma City police said they are interviewing people at the apartment and have received different descriptions on the suspects from the three victims.

Anyone with information concerning these robberies are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
