Authorities Arrest Driver Accused Of Running Over Lincoln Co. Deputy

A manhunt has ended after authorities arrested a man accused of running over a Lincoln County deputy with his vehicle on the Turner Turnpike Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, Danny Joe Hopkins Jr. was arrested at 840 Road and 3380 Road, southeast of Carney, Oklahoma, on Wednesday. He reportedly ran away after hitting a deputy with his vehicle near Highway 177 and the Turner Turnpike Tuesday morning.

The deputy has been treated and released from a hospital.
