OKC Energy FC lost its fourth straight match and suffered its first shutout loss of the season, 1-0 to Orange County Blues FC Wednesday night at Anteater Stadium.

Since dropping a 5-2 decision to FC Dallas on June 16 in the U.S. Open Cup, OKC has now lost three consecutive USL matches, all on the road, and dropped to fifth place in the Western Conference, six points behind conference-leading Sacramento Republic FC.

The shutout loss was OKC’s first since September 4, 2014, when the club lost it’s fourth straight by way of shutout, 1-0 to Sacramento.

Energy FC forward Danni König’s goal streak ended at five games and his point streak ended at six in OKC’s loss.

Orange County’s Christopher Ramirez scored the match’s only goal in the 33rd minute of play, rolling a shot through traffic in the OKC box that Energy FC keeper Evan Newton dived for but was unable to come up with.

After a red card was issued to Orange County’s Jimmy Turner moments after he entered the match in the 78th minute, OKC held a man advantage for the final 26 minutes of play but was unable to score an equalizing goal, outshooting the Blues 9-2 in the second half.

OKC’s only two shots on goal came from second half substitutes Michael Byskov and Casey Townsend, while Orange County managed four shots on goal for the game.

Energy FC next travels to Los Angeles where they’ll take on L.A. Galaxy II in a 9:30 p.m. CT start at StubHub Center. The match will be OKC’s last of a four-game road stretch, with the club returning home for a rematch against Orange County on July 11 at Taft Stadium.
