A man turned himself in to authorities after police said he shot another man at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex Thursday morning.

A man turned himself in to authorities after police said he shot another man at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex Thursday morning.

According to police, at about 10:50 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at the Highlands Apartments, located at 12701 N. Penn.

The victim was transported by a private vehicle to Mercy Hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound to the mouth.

Thursday evening, 19-year-old Jake Deon Jennings turned himself in to Oklahoma City police in connection to the shooting. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, robbery with a firearm, and shooting with intent to kill. He's being held on $47,500 bond.
