The teen victim told police that he was at the church when the fight broke out. He started running when he saw someone with a gun. He said he didn't even notice that he had been shot until after he crossed the street.
The other victim said he was sitting in his vehicle when he was shot.
A witness who works at the church told police that a large fight broke out during one of the basketball games, so he and other employees broke up the fight and made those involved leave.
The witness said once the group walked out of the door, they began arguing and fighting again. That's when he saw the suspect pull out a dark-colored pistol and began firing towards the crowd.
The shooting suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived. Police were able to identify the suspect because he had signed his name in the church's log of everyone who comes to play basketball.
Officers later arrested the 16-year-old shooting suspect. He is facing two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
Officers at the scene also arrested a 17-year-old for assault and battery. He was booked into the Berry House.
