Oklahoma City's 17 spraygrounds and two family aquatic centers will be open for the summer season beginning Saturday May 23, according to the Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department.

Spraygrounds

Park spraygrounds are open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and will remain open through Monday, September 7. Sprayground locations are:

Douglass Park, 901 E. Frederick Douglass Ave.

E.B. Jeffrey Park, 4432 NW 16th St

Harvest Hills Park, NW 104th & Harvest Hills Drive

Lippert Park, 5500 S. Shartel Ave

Macklanburg Park, 11700 N. Stratford Dr

McCracken Park, SE 64th & Byers Ave

McKinley Park, 1300 N McKinley

Melrose Park, NW 5th & Council

Minnis Lakeview Park, 12518 NE 36th

North Highland Park, NW 82nd and Harvey

Reed Park, NW 12th & May

Schilling Park, 537 SE 25

Sellers Park, SW 82nd & Villa

Taylor Park, 1113 SE 70

Wiley Post Park, SW 17 & Robinson

Youngs Park, SW 44 & Youngs

Memorial Sprayground, located in Memorial Park at NW 36 and Classen, will open later in the summer once construction on the park has been completed.

Earlywine and Will Rogers Family Aquatic Family Centers

Hours of operation are:

May 23, 24, 25 noon - 6 p.m.

May 30-August 13 noon - 8 p.m., Sunday-Wednesday

noon - 9 p.m., Thursday/Friday/Saturday

August 15-16, 22-23 noon - 6 p.m.

August 29-30 noon - 6 p.m.

August 29, 30 noon - 6 p.m.

Sept. 5-7 noon - 6 p.m.

Aquatic Center Fees

Daily entry fees:

$7 per person 48-inches and taller

$6 per day/per person under 48-inches

$4 per person for non-swimming patrons

Twilight fees:

$5 per person 48-inches and taller

$3 per person under 48-inches

$4 per person for non-swimming patrons

Twilight fees are in effect Sunday-Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m.

Earlywine Family Aquatic Center is located in Earlywine Park at SW 119 and May Avenue. Will Rogers Family Aquatic Center is located inside Will Rogers Park, at 3201 N Grand Boulevard.

Both aquatic centers offer season passes for individuals and families. Residents can buy passes Wednesday-Friday, May 20-22 from 4-7 p.m. or during regular aquatic center hours.

Passes cost $60 per individual or $180 for a family of four ($35 for each additional family member). Season pass holders get 11 a.m. entry Monday through Friday.

Also beginning May 20, parents can sign up their children for swimming lessons at Earlywine and Will Rogers Family Aquatic Centers. Five two-week sessions begin June 1. Each session includes eight one-hour lessons and costs $30 per child. Lessons are available for all ages and swimming abilities.

According to city officials, children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all of the City's aquatics facilities, including spraygrounds. Children under four must wear plastic pants or swim diapers in pools. Footwear such as boat shoes or swimming “slippers” is recommended at all spraygrounds.
