Oklahoma City Home Damaged Due To Lightning Strike

An early morning storm damaged a home in Oklahoma City.

Residents inside a home on Canyon Lakes Drive called 911 to report a lightning strike on their home early Thursday morning. That's near Council Road and the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

Firefighters responded to the scene to make sure there was no fire threat. Damage to the home was minimum and nobody was hurt. 

The storms are expected to be out of the metro by the morning rush hours.
