Court documents filed in Oklahoma County stated Marco Lewis Grier Jr. said he was driving 60 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone near the school and passed another vehicle in a 'no passing zone.' After passing the vehicle, the report stated Grier over-corrected and rotated clockwise continuously before crashing into a large utility pole, making impact on the driver's side rear passenger door.

Investigators said 16-year-old Cleatis Davis was sitting in the back of the vehicle. Davis and the other passenger, 16-year-old Keyshawn Shells were not wearing seatbelts, according to police. Davis died after suffering major blunt force trauma to the head. Shells was hospitalized.

Police said the boys were playing around with a girl, took her keys and then sped off in her vehicle – horseplay that ended horrifically.

Court documents said Grier has no current record of traffic violations. However, police now allege Grier was driving at a high rate of speed, in reckless disregard of the safety of others, which resulted in the death of Davis.

Oklahoma City police requested the warrant be issued for Grier for Negligent Homicide.
