OK Deputy Busts Possible Burglary Ring During Traffic Stop

An Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy busted a possible burglary ring, arresting three people, during a traffic stop in Oklahoma City.

An Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy busted a possible burglary ring, arresting three people, during a traffic stop in Oklahoma City.

According to the Sheriff's office, on Friday, a deputy noticed a car swerve into oncoming traffic near S.E. 29th and Anderson Road. The deputy stopped the car and spoke with the driver, 50-year-old Bradley Irwin.

The deputy said Irwin was driving with an expired tag, had no insurance, and gave the deputy permission to search the vehicle.

According to the Sheriff's office, while searching the vehicle the deputy found the following items,

*More than 100 car keys

*Ignition removal equipment

*Lock pick sets

*Assorted tools

*Laptop computers (2)

*State DL/ID cards (17)

*Credit cards

*Social Security cards (5)

*Federal income tax forms

*Counterfeit ID's (2)

*34-grams of methamphetamine

*Digital scale

*Xanax pills

Irwin was taken into custody along with his passengers, 32-year-old Tiffany Burghart of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and 41-year old Michael Laird of El Reno, Oklahoma. 

According to authorities, Burghart had an outstanding warrant out of Cleveland County for failure to appear, and Laird had an Oklahoma County warrant for trafficking illegal drugs.

All three were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple complaints, including trafficking meth, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property, possession of counterfeit IDs, and more.
