18-Year-Old Arrested In Connection To Shooting At NW OKC Park

Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection to a shooting that injured one person Wednesday night at a northwest Oklahoma City park.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection to a shooting that injured one person Wednesday night at a northwest Oklahoma City park.

According to police, at about 9 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at Macklanburg Park, located at 2234 N.W. 117th Street.

When officers arrived, police said the victim and suspect were no longer at the scene. They learned that the victim had been transported by a private vehicle to Mercy Hospital.

The victim is being treated for gunshot wounds to the arm and abdomen.

Thursday morning, police said they have arrested 18-year-old Taizjhan Johnson in connection to the shooting. He was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail at 7:45 a.m., on complaints of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor count of assault and battery. 

Johnson is being held on $8,000 bond.
