OKLAHOMA CITY -

The doctor accused of operating a “pill mill” in Oklahoma City has now had his medical license suspended.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) issued an Imminent Danger Order against Dr. Harvey Jenkins.

Agents with the Attorney General's office and the OBN raided Jenkins' Aria Orthopedics office, located in southwest OKC, last week. During the raid the agents confiscated a number of items, including computer hard drives, boxes of patient records, and contracts from the office.

According to a release issued by the OBN, the imminent Danger Order effectively suspends Jenkins' authority to possess, administer, dispense, prescribe and/or distribute any Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) in the State of Oklahoma.

Jenkins' practice has been called into question before by the state Medical Licensure Board.

According to disciplinary records, in 2011, Jenkins was given three years of probation for unprofessional conduct related to his use of oxycodone.

In January 2015, he was given two years of probation, again for unprofessional conduct, but this time related to his business, BodyTrends. The board found Jenkins failed to establish proper physician-patient relationships prior to prescribing treatments and failed to maintain accurate patient records.

Wednesday's action by the OBN is just the latest in the ongoing investigation into Aria Orthopedics.
