OKLAHOMA CITY -

The officer accused of sexually assaulting women while on duty wants out of jail. News 9 learned the attorney representing Officer Daniel Holtzclaw has now filed a motion for a hearing to drop the amount of his bond.

Holtzclaw is currently being held in the Oklahoma County jail on a $5-million bond, but his attorney Scott Adams is petitioning the court to reduce it to $139,000.

He states that is in accordance with the Oklahoma County bail schedule based on the accusations against Holtzclaw, which include rape, forcible oral sex, sexual battery and indecent exposure.

In the motion, Holtzclaw's attorney claims he is neither a flight risk, nor a danger to the community and should be released on reasonable bail and that he would be willing to abide by any restrictions the Court may impose as a condition of reasonable bail.

Coming up tonight at 5, Crime Tracker Adrianna Iwasinski will explain why the judge chose to impose that $5-million bail and what the DA's office asked for in the first place.
