Police have arrested two suspects who attempted to rob a man outside a southwest Oklahoma City convenience store.
The victim told police that on April 1, he was outside the Valero station at 3609 S. Penn. when two men approached him. One man distracted the victim by offering him a beer, while the other one grabbed him from behind, police said.
The suspects demanded money from the victim. When the victim yelled for help, one suspect stabbed the victim twice, according to police.

Both suspects then ran away from the scene. Police released a surveillance photo of one suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Shawn Dickey. Police said Dickey was the one who distracted the victim by offering him a beer.
Police arrested Dickey on Friday, April 11. During an interview with him, officers learned that 30-year-old Eric Ladeaux was the one who stabbed the victim. He was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 15.
Both suspects were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
