911 Caller Helps Put Alleged Serial Flasher In OK County Jail

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Warr Acres and Bethany Police link a man to indecent exposure incidents in the metro.

Jerome McCoy is in the Oklahoma County Jail on several complaints. Warr Acres Police said they caught McCoy fondling himself inside a car in the Buy For Less parking lot near 39th and MacArthur.

Mary Stanart shops there and was shocked to hear about the arrest.

"I really don't think that's acceptable behavior on anybody's part," said Stanart.

Major Hugh Osborn said they were first alerted to McCoy doing similar activities at the Family Dollar.  Warr Acres Police have received calls for indecent exposure two to three times a month in the last year.

Bethany Police have taken similar complaints. Detectives most recently linked McCoy to a case at Southern Nazarene University, where a victim was allegedly flashed by a man inside a building on campus. Stanart said it doesn't bode well for future generations.

"I'm just wondering what kind of message does it send to girls and boys," said Stanart.

Police hope their message is stronger -- if you break the law, they will make sure you end up in jail like McCoy.

McCoy is being held for indecent exposure and obstructing an officer.
