Two teenagers are in critical condition and one is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Major County, late Saturday night.

According to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Jonathan Koehn, of Burns, Kan., was driving a 2013 Kia Optima northbound on US 412, with two passengers, 17-year-old Betsy Jantz and 16-year-old Christopher Jantz, both from Ringwood, Okla.

Troopers say the crash occurred about one mile south of state highway 8 when Koehn lost control of the vehicle for an undetermined reason and crashed into a tree.

Betsy Jantz was riding in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Koehn, the driver, was transported via ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid. He is listed in critical condition.

Christopher Jantz was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was transported via medical helicopter to OU Medical Center in OKC where he is listed in critical condition. Troopers say he was the only one in the car who was not wearing a seatbelt.

OHP Troopers along with the Major County Sheriff's Office and Major County Fire and Rescue responded to the crash. The exact cause has not been determined. The crash is under investigation.
