Police Respond To Stabbing At Penn Square Mall

Emergency crews are on the scene of a stabbing at Penn Square Mall, Wednesday afternoon.

The attack occurred in the top level of the parking garage.

Police say the male victim was stabbed in the stomach. That person was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

One suspect is in custody. Their identity has not been released. At this time police are not sure where the stabbing actually occurred and they do not know what caused the initial altercation.

A spokesperson from Penn Square sent the following statement regarding the incident: 

"There was an isolated incident with no serious injuries this afternoon. We are fully cooperating with the Oklahoma City Police Department as they investigate this matter. For more information, please contact them directly at (405) 297-1111."
