Rollover Accident Snarls Traffic On I-35, South Of Norman

Emergency crews responded to the scene of a rollover accident on southbound Interstate 35, Saturday afternoon.

It happened south of Norman on I-35, near mile marker 101, around 2:30 p.m.

At least one vehicle was involved. A white SUV was rolled over on its top in the middle of southbound I-35, causing traffic to be backed up for over 20 miles.

The highway has since been cleared and reopened, but traffic is still very congested in the area. I-35 was closed for approximately an hour and 45 minutes.

Traffic was diverted at E. Ladd Rd., to State Highway 74 while crews worked to clear the wreckage.

It is unclear at this time how the crash occurred or if anyone was seriously injured.
