Thunder Players, Fans Go Bowling For A Good Cause
OKLAHOMA CITY - Bowling for charity, why not?
Thunder fans spent time with Russell Westbrook and some other Thunder players Monday night at the Third Annual Celebrity Bowl.
The event benefited Westbrook's "Why Not?" Foundation, which seeks to inspire the lives of at-risk youth.
Proceeds benefited the Russell Westbrook Scholarship Fund at the Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma County.
"Me growing up in the city, I've partnered with the Boys and Girls club, personally, because I grew up in the Boys and Girls club. Because it's something I'm interested in. There's a lot of different kids coming in and out of Boys and Girls club each and every day, I'm just trying to find a way to help and give back," Westbrook said.
The "Why Not?" Foundation seeks to empower youth to believe anything is possible with determination.
