OKLAHOMA CITY - One person was found dead following a fire at an apartment complex in southwest Oklahoma City Friday morning.

According to the fire department, at about 11:30 a.m. Friday, crews responded to the fire at the Greystone Apartments, located at 4900 S. Walker in Oklahoma City.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly. Officials confirmed that one person was found dead following the fire. However, it is unclear at this time how that person died.

The victim's identity has not been released.

S. Walker Avenue near the apartment complex is closed at this time. Several units at the apartment complex were evacuated due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Red Cross volunteers are responding to help those impacted by the apartment fire.
