OKLAHOMA CITY -
The search for the person who threw a German shepherd off a bridge onto Interstate 40 in Oklahoma City continues. Now, the dog named "Rookie" is headed home to his new family.
According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, Rookie was thrown from a bridge on S.E. 59th Street down to I-40.
Rookie had surgery to fix a broken leg and is still recovering from other injuries. He is now being adopted by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper who found him.
There's a $7,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. If you have any information, call the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office at (405)-869-2501.
