Oklahoma City police officers arrest a man after they said he was caught on surveillance video stealing from a vending machine at a local hospital.

Joshua Scott Russell, 29, faces charges of burglary, destroying property, possession of burglary tools and concealing stolen property.

According to the police report, on July 21, surveillance video showed Russell vandalizing a vending machine near the emergency room at Integris Southwest Medical Center located at 4401 S. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City.

Officers said Russell used a survival tool containing a window punch to shatter the glass of the vending machine. Then, officers said Russell grabbed 20 snack items out of the machine and stuffed them into his backpack.

Security officers from the hospital located Russell sitting in the emergency room's waiting area following the incident. Those officers handcuffed and detained Russell until OKCPD officers arrived.

Police recovered the survival tool and a backpack containing five peanut butter M&Ms, five peanut M&Ms, three Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, two Twix bars, two Snickers, two packages of Baked Lay's BBQ Chips and one bag of Baked Doritos.

Russell was taken into police custody and booked.
