OKLAHOMA CITY -
Oklahoma City Police were led
on a short chase after responding to a call about a stolen vehicle Saturday
morning.
The car was reported stolen early
Saturday when an officer called in to dispatch saying that he had spotted a
vehicle fitting the description. As officers came upon the vehicle and flashed
their lights, the suspects took off.
The chase lasted only four
minutes, when at around I-40 and Penn, a police supervisor terminated the
pursuit due to traffic in the area. Responding officers fell back far enough to
keep track of what direction vehicle fled.
A police helicopter was then
called in and the car was discovered near 11th and Ellison. At that time police
managed to apprehend one suspect, a male believed to be the driver of the
stolen vehicle. He has not been identified.
Police say two other people in
the vehicle managed to get away and that one of the suspects was female. Police
have not released any information on their descriptions.
