THE VILLAGE, Oklahoma - A late afternoon fire caused significant damage to a home located on Lancet Lane in The Village.

Fire officials say the fire started in the attic of the house, but the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The house was a rental, and one of the men who lived there came home from work to see the chaos.

"I was just headed home from work and I saw the helicopters as I was coming down Britton and I thought, that's really close to the house. And then when I turned the corner, I thought wow. It's just something you never think is going to happen. You turn the corner and you see the house you live in on fire," Joe Lauzon said.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The home's roof had suffered significant hail damage in last month's storm.
