Midwest City Authorities Investigating Fatal House Fire As Homicide

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

Authorities in Midwest City say they are now investigating the fatal house fire that broke out Wednesday night as a homicide.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 300 block of West Lilac Ln. Midwest City firefighters say a neighbor called 911 when they saw smoke coming from the home.

When firefighters arrived at the home, the flames were quickly put out, but a man's body was found inside.

Fire investigators were immediately suspicious of the circumstances.

They say the investigation is still ongoing and they will have more information as soon as they conduct more interviews. They still have not released the victim's identity.
