Midwest City Fire Working Suspicious Death Following House Fire

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

Fire investigators in Midwest City are calling a Wednesday evening house fire "suspicious."

It happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 300 block of West Lilac Lane.

Midwest City fire fighters say a neighbor called 911 when they saw smoke coming from the home.

When firefighters arrived at the home, the flames were quickly put out, but a man's body was found inside.

Midwest City Fire says the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

The name of the man has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
