A snake slithered into a transformer and caused a large power outage in northwest Oklahoma City early Thursday morning.
OKLAHOMA CITY -
An OG&E spokesperson says a snake slithered into a substation and knocked out power to 10,000 customers early Thursday morning.
Customers along Pennsylvania Avenue from N.W. 150th Street to Memorial lost power around 2 a.m. Thursday. The outage also affected some customers in Piedmont.
When OG&E workers went into the Lone Oak substation at N.W. 164th Street and Portland, they discovered a snake in the transformer.
Crews restored power to all customers by 4 a.m.
