Gage is ready for the Oklahoma summers!
I only had 1 shot at getting this picture. As soon as I took it, he woke up.
My little man looks like he's eating well!
All
Smiles & "Giggles"
This
is the first week I've heard Gage make a noise as he smiles. It's the absolute best thing I've witnessed
so far as a mother! I managed to capture
it on video. I'm sharing it even though I found I'm the one who looks a bit
silly (but it was worth it!).
Making
Returning to Work a Little Easier
I
knew I'd cry… I just knew it! And sure
enough, as I got ready to head back to work for the first time I found myself
tearing up. Which when I think about it,
is strange because I was only going to be gone about two hours and I have left
Gage before to run errands and had no problem with that. I think part of it is that I love getting him
to sleep and as I left he was wide awake.
And it didn't make it any easier the next night when Nick told me Gage
screamed and screamed before he could finally get him to fall asleep.
Then one of my coworkers (who has a 1 year
old) told me what worked for them. They
would give their son a bath, read to him, then give him milk and it would knock
him out. Well that was the trick! For the last four nights I've been doing that
and I've managed to get Gage to sleep before 8:30. And for the last 2 nights he's only woken up
once - WooHoo! When I looked at the
clock this morning and it said 4:15, I actually wanted to wake up my husband
and say ‘Look! He's been sleeping for almost 8 hours!' I wanted to share my excitement with someone
(but I waited until the sun had come up). I have to say it has made it so much easier having him asleep when I
leave for work. Here's hoping for
another good night!
