The No. 23 ranked Sooner baseball squad lost its second straight game Wednesday evening with an 8-2 loss to Dallas Baptist.

For the second game in a row, Oklahoma took a 1-0 advantage in the first, but couldn't hold on. OU's Max White connected on a two-out double and eventually came around to score after Dallas Baptist committed back-to-back errors.

DBU took the lead in the fourth playing three runs off OU starter Dillon Overton.

After a scoreless sixth inning, Steven Bruce was tagged by Austin Elkins, who homered to lead off the DBU seventh inning.

The Sooners countered with a two-out rally that included a RBI single by White, but that was all the offense OU could manage in the loss. White was the only Sooner to collect multiple hits, to extend his hitting streak to five games.

The Patriots capitalized on two more Sooner errors in the ninth to add added four insurance runs and finish out the 8-2 victory.

OU's Overton dealt five innings with two earned runs allowed off five hits and two walks. Overton struck out seven batters before Steven Bruce opened the sixth inning on the mound for the Sooners.

Oklahoma will now face Kansas on the road with the series opener schedule for 6 p.m. on Friday.
