If you're craving some home cooked comfort food, then bring your appetite and head south on I-35. Nestled off the beaten path and located on the line of three Oklahoma towns, The Rib Joint and Catfish Hole is a hidden gem that has a little something for everyone and will definitely satisfy the biggest of appetites.

With the desire to just serve good food, husband and wife team Pat and Carol Patillo have been dishing up smoky, tender and full of flavor barbeque for the last nine years. Every recipe is a Patillo original and every dish served up is made from scratch. Weighing in at about 3,000 pounds, Patillo even created his own smoker to fit his needs.

Aside from spending years in the restaurant business, and working in some of Oklahoma's most well known eats, what's the secret to their success? "Time," says Patillo. There are no fancy gadgets at work here.  Patillo knows when his ribs and brisket are done by sight and touch alone. It takes about 15 hours for his famous ribs to get to that falling-off –the-bone point.  Each of the meats also has a distinct flavor, all thanks to the use of hickory wood. However, if you aren't in the mood for barbeque, then you can't go wrong with a plate of the catfish.  It's some if the freshest around.

The Rib Joint and Catfish Hole is located at 120th and Cemetery Road in Noble and only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Be sure to get there early, though, because once the catfish and barbeque are gone, they're gone.  You can't really just throw another one on the grill at this place.  This joint is definitely worth the jaunt, but be sure to bring your appetite and some cash because debit and credit cards are not accepted.
