OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Louisiana escapee that sent law enforcement on a high speed chase in Oklahoma is out of the hospital and behind bars.
Brian Keith Soileau, 42, was released from OU Medical Center and now in the Oklahoma County Jail.
Soileau escaped from a detention center in south central Louisiana on October 13. He was being held for robbing a bank in Vidrine, Louisiana.
On Wednesday, Soileau was spotted by authorities in Norman. He then took off and led troopers and U.S. Marshals on a 30 mile high-speed pursuit on Interstate 35 the wrong way. Troopers said Soileau topped out at speeds of 95 MPH, driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-35. The pursuit ended near Davis.
At some point, law enforcement opened fire at the truck, hitting Soileau. He was treated at OU Medical Center. He will remain at the Oklahoma County Jail until his extradition back to Louisiana.
