OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police have released the name of the man killed as a result of a fight that started in southeast Oklahoma City early Saturday morning.

Twenty-three-year-old Wayne Oliver died in the shooting. Police said an argument broke out between people inside two cars in the 7-11 parking lot at S.E. 44th and Bryant.

One of the drivers took off and the other followed close behind.

Both stopped their cars again near I-240 and Bryant, where police said one person got out of the second car and fired shots into the first car hitting and killing the passenger.

Police said a witness, who was driving the vehicle that the victim was in, stated that while at I-240 and Bryant, a silver/green colored Chevy HHR/PT Cruiser-type vehicle pulled in front of them and stopped. The suspect, who was only described as a black man possibly wearing a hat and a long sleeved t-shirt, got out of his vehicle and fired into the victim's car.

Investigators are still in the beginning stages of this investigation, and encourage anyone with information to contact the Homicide Tip Line 405-297-1200. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
