OKLAHOMA CITY -- Thanks to a strong pitching performance, the Oklahoma City RedHawks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Memphis Redbirds Friday.

Starter Lucas Harrell pitched seven innings for the RedHawks (43-57), allowing just two runs on four hits, while striking out three. His two earned runs came in the first two innings of the game, keeping Memphis (51-48) off the board for his final five innings of service. Oklahoma City's three relievers pitched three hitless innings, striking out three more batters.

Oklahoma City scored four of its five runs in the bottom of the third, trailing 2-0.

With two runners on base, Anderson Hernandez hit a double to center field, scoring J.B. Shuck and Luis Durango to tie the game 2-2. Two batters later, Koby Clemens doubled toward third base to bring Hernandez home and take a one-run lead. Drew Locke followed with a double to left field score Clemens and take a 4-2 advantage.

The RedHawks tacked on an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth to take a three-run lead and close the door on a Memphis comeback.

Nick Additon (2-7) was credited with a loss for the outing, giving up five earned runs on nine hits, despite striking out nine in his 5.2 innings of service.

Oklahoma City will continue its 12-game home stand at 7:05 p.m. Saturday with the second of a four-game series against Memphis.
