Jacqueline Sit,

OKLAHOMA CITY – Despite burn bans which affect about half the state, fireworks stand operators report they are doing a brisk business.

"We started selling at seven o'clock this morning and we're having a bunch of sales," Brookson Creason said. He's been working constantly at his stand near Sooner and Waterloo in Logan County since Saturday morning.

"It's just non-stop. It's always hectic. You never catch a break."

Even with burn bans in Logan County and Oklahoma County, fireworks are still allowed in certain areas and Creason said it hasn't affected his customers.

Creason said business had picked up steadily throughout the day. "We've been jam-packed busy lately. It gets really bad."

Creason's stand will be open until midnight.
