Kiowa County Go Kart Accident Kills Six-Year-Old

KIOWA COUNTY, Oklahoma -- A go kart accident in rural Kiowa County Friday afternoon left a six year old dead the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has reported.

Tucker Johnson was driving a go kart in an open field with 26-year-old James Miller, from Brownwood, Texas. 

Johnson attempted to negotiate a left turn at a high rate of speed and rolled the vehicle one full time the OHP report said.

Johnson was partially ejected and suffered head injuries.  He was transported to Elkview General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Both Johnson and Miller were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
