CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -- On Saturday, Rogers State University dedicated a tribute to some of Oklahoma's bravest. The pyramid bears the names of 100 graduates from the Oklahoma Military Academy who were killed in action during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. 

"We appreciate our military history, and we also appreciate the men whose names are etched in this granite," said Larry Rice, RSU president.

The Oklahoma Military Academy closed down in 1971, and Rogers State University took over the campus.

The Oklahoma Military Academy Killed in Action Memorial was formally unveiled during a ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at the main entrance to the RSU campus, also known as "the Hill."
