BLANCHARD, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers said a wild pursuit started Monday afternoon after drivers on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike reported seeing a man whipping something in his car.

A trooper caught up with the driver, Daniel King, near Newcastle and reported that he could see the man hitting something with what looked like a whip. He tried to pull the driver over, but the man wouldn't stop.

Troopers were eventually able to run King off the road.

"Attempted to TVI him. When I did the suspect car slammed on his brakes causing me to basically go into the side of him and push him off the road where we ended," said OHP Trooper Randall Milam.

King then got out and swung a garden hose at troopers before they tackled him. No one else was in the car.
