OKLAHOMA CITY -- A storm system that moved across the state brought heavy rain and lightening to a large part of the state Thursday morning.

The strongest storms occurred in central and northeast Oklahoma.

Some minor flooding was reported in Warr Acres, Yukon, Mustang, north Edmond and other parts of the metro.

There were also several areas of power outages in the OKC area, mainly along the west sides of the metro from Norman to west Guthrie. OG&E reported about 4,000 customers without power at one point. The largest outage was related to a substation issue near Crescent. All other outages were related to lightning. Check power outages.

The activity has mainly moved out of the state. Strong northwesterly winds and falling temperatures are headed in behind the storms.

Temps will fall into the upper 30s and 40s Thursday afternoon and evening. Friday looks like a cold start with temps below freezing followed by a nice recovery into the low to mid 50s by the afternoon.
