OKLAHOMA CITY -- A cold front has made its way through much of the state, bringing strong winds behind it and temperatures already dropping into the 30s in the northwest.
Winds in western Oklahoma are gusting more than 40 mph with strong winds expected to spread east over central and eastern Oklahoma this afternoon and through this evening.
Later Wednesday, winds will get up to 20 to 40 mph with higher gusts. If you factor in the extremely strong winds with lows in the upper 20s, wind chills could get down into the teens overnight.
As we head into Thursday, winds will be from the south at only 5 - 15 mph with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Highs will continue to warm Friday through the weekend with highs in the 60s.
