Oklahoma City -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released information on two vehicles that were seen leaving the scene of a double murder more than a decade ago in northeast Oklahoma.

OSBI spokesperson Jessica Brown said a small, dark colored, four door sedan was spotted leaving the home of Danny and Kathy Freeman between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. on December 30, 1999, traveling east toward the town of Welch. The second vehicle was described as a dark colored, heavy duty pickup truck traveling north toward the town of Chetopa, Kansas.

The bodies of Danny and Kathy Freeman were discovered in their home after it had been set on fire. The couple's daughter, Ashley Freeman, was celebrating her 16th birthday and had a friend, Lauria Bible, over to spend the night. Neither Freeman nor Bible has been found.

Investigators said since the home was set on fire, very little forensic evidence was able to be recovered. Investigators also said the case has been difficult because the home is in a remote area and there were no known witnesses to the crime.

Because the crime scene was set on fire, very little forensic evidence was obtained. Due to the remoteness of the residence, no witnesses to the crime have been found. Investigators have run on hundreds of leads.

Anyone with information on either of the vehicles or the case should contact either the Craig County Sheriff's Office at 918-256-6466 or the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
