OKLAHOMA CITY -- A metro school severely damaged in recent storms received a special gift Monday.
James L. Dennis Elementary was left in shambles following a September 2 thunderstorm that packed powerful winds. The school was severely damaged including the roof and library.
Monday, Feed the Children delivered a truck load of books to a nearby church. Once the school reopens, the several thousand books will help replenish what was lost in the school library from the storm.
Better World Books and Half Price Books donated the books.
James L. Dennis students are attending class at other schools while repairs are made.
