Oklahoma City Couple Arrested after High-Speed Chase

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City couple was arrested after leading Oklahoma City police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase up Interstate 35 Sunday afternoon.

Lawrence Edward Sears and Betty Ann Sears were booked into the Oklahoma County jail on charges of receiving stolen property. Lawrence Sears was also charged with attempting to allude and driving under the influence.

Oklahoma City Police Lieutenant Ron Bacy said the chase began at Britton Road and I-35 late Saturday afternoon when officers attempted to stop the car for displaying a stolen tag. The chase hit speeds over 100 miles per hour before coming to an end at the Stillwater exit on I-35.

No injuries were reported from the chase.
