Arrest Made in Southwest Oklahoma City Double Shooting

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that took place Saturday morning in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City police arrested Mario Jaques for the shooting that took place on the southwest side of the city. Police responded to an altercation between a group of people shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived to the 3400 block of S.W. 20th Street they learned two people with gunshot wounds had been taken to a local hospital. A resident in the area she took two men to the hospital in her car.

Traffic was being rerouted around the area as police investigated the crime scene Saturday morning.

Public Information Officer Lieutenant Ron Bacy did not have official conditions on the victims but said serious to critical would be likely. He said the crime scene apparently took place in the middle of the street.

Jaques now faces charges of possession of a firearm and shooting with intent to kill.
