Man Accused of Stealing from 16 Penn Square Mall Stores

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An alert mall employee helped stop a shoplifter who police believe stole from 16 stores in Penn Square Mall, police said.

An employee at Champs Sports caught the man taking about $300 worth of clothes. When officers searched his car, they found items from 15 other stores in the mall.

Police say the man lined an ordinary plastic bag with a material designed to get past store security scanners.

Ferdinand Riley Sr., 55, was arrested Friday night in connection to the thefts.
