Oklahoma is sending swift water rescue teams and an insurance anti-fraud unit to North Carolina, the state Department of Emergency Management and Gov. Mary Fallin announced Friday. 

Some Oklahoma insurance companies now offer discounts to homeowners with "Tornado-resilient" or "Fortified" homes. The new incentives go into effect this week and some people could save up to 40 percent on their homeowner’s insurance.

Health insurance costs continue to rise for Oklahoma families. Last year, some people saw their premiums double with a nearly 10 percent increase this year.  

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak urges Oklahomans affected by the recent storms to be on the lookout for scam artists.
